One Centre – Two Unique Facilities
The Tallebudgera Outdoor & Environmental Education Centre operates two residential facilities:
Each site provides a safe, comfortable and modern residential education experience for visiting students, teachers and supporting adults. Centre staff utilise the natural and built environments to undertake learning journeys in the outdoors.
Tallebudgera Outdoor & Environmental Education Centre
TOEEC was established in 1967 as the Tallebudgera Camp School on the National Fitness Camp site between the mouth of the Tallebudgera Creek and North Palm Beach. Today the Beach School site is a modern facility with secure and comfortable accommodation for 192 students and visiting teachers, large dining facility and a range of physical activity sites established across the site.
Queensland Recreation Centre Gold Coast owns and manages the overall site and the Tallebudgera Outdoor & Environmental Education Centre is allocated 2 accommodation buildings.
Each cabin contains bunk beds with an ensuite. Teacher and support staff cabins contain 2 bunk beds with an ensuite.

The Centre has a Security and Welfare Officer on duty through the night to respond to emergencies and to assist visiting teachers deal with any medical needs.

Meals are prepared and served by staff from a commercial catering company employed by Gold Coast Recreation Centre.
