Student safety and welfare is our highest priority. The school with over 50 years of operational experience has developed practices and procedures which encourage, support and maintain a safe and supportive camp environment.

Supervision of Duty of Care

Tallebudgera provides a 24 hour duty of care for all camps. A Security/Welfare Officer is employed from 10pm to 7am each camp night to respond to student welfare needs and emergencies. The Principal and Deputy Principal share an after hours emergency on call. Teaching staff are rostered during day and night time activities and follow detailed risk management and emergency planning guidelines.

Facility and venue access and supervision

Tallebudgera is a shared site with other school and community groups accessing programs on site. Students are required to follow strict guidelines re access to site facilities and public venues for activities. Strict adherance to established practices re student supervision, movement between venues and activity supervision ratios is mandated. Visiting students and staff are required to wear identity wrist bands to facilitate ease in identification.
